National Craft Month Contests, Tutorials and Announcements

Happy National Craft Month!  We feel like this is a month long celebration and want you to celebrate with us!  We have so many wonderful things planned for National Craft Month, from weekly contests, to daily tutorials.  We have some BIG announcements and we will have some surprise contests throughout the month as well.

To get things kicked off let’s talk about the daily tutorials – Ever day for the entire month of March there will be a new craft project tutorial.  From using up scraps of scrapbooking paper, to using fabric to make some wonderful baby items to working with mason jars.  Just look under the Tutorials section of Homeketeers to see each days new tutorial.

Next Contests – So who wants to win a Cricut?  I am super excited to announce that we will be giving away FOUR Cricuts this month!!!!  Yes I said FOUR.  Three Cricut Mini’s and one Cricut Expression.  Each week there will be a winner.  Details Below.

And finally our Big announcement, later today the Homeketeers Shop will be live.  While many of you know about the monthly Scrapbooking Kits WeScrap was selling, some of you do not.  So since we have combined with WeScrap we thought it would be great to offer our members the ability to not only get their scrapbook kits from us but also crafting and baking kits!  Yes you heard me right, we will now be offering Crafting Kits and Baking Kits.  With each kit will be a tutorial on how to complete the project that goes with the corresponding kit.  Their will be cake and cupcake making lessons, and even quilting and sewing lessons.  We are so excited about this growth and we can’t wait for you to see the new shop.

  1. I am a NYS Registered childcare provider and have been for 17 years. I scrapbook for ALL of my families and give each child a page about every 5 weeks. I’ve been doing this for about 11 years now. I have a cricut create and would love to have a cricut expression!!! It would make those holiday layouts so much easier!!! Thanks for the opportunity!

  7. I am a mommy to three beautiful children, ages 8, 6 and 3.  I have loved to scrap as long as i can remember.  I work for a craft store but have not been able yet to afford a Cricut of any kind.  I would be thrilled to win a Cricut mini or Expression 2!  I would use it all the time!

Well I’ve got a Slice,Silhouette, Cuttlebug AND Spellbinders grande calibur so I don’t need another piece of hardware LOL so I’ll let all you lovely ladies battle over these awesome prizes.  To be honest I’d totally enter but my hubby told me in no certain terms was I to get a Cricut cuz he’s not “letting” me buy cartridges LOL thats why he bought me the Silhouette so I can’t really blame him.   65. I would LOVE to win a Cricut! I am a recent college grad with too many student loans to buy one of my own. I have a degree in Elementary Education and hope to get a full time teaching job in the Fall. Having a Cricut at my house would be amazing, not only for teaching, but for the crafting and card making I have started getting into. Thank you for reading my post 🙂

I’ve been trying to save up to just get a mini for the last 6 months, but it seems right when I get to the point where I have enough- Life hits us, and my savings is gone. Being in a family where my husband is disabled with ESRD and has constant health issues and I’m back in school for my degree and we have 3 kids, I’m afraid I’ll never be able to get one, LOL!   209. I do alot of theme scrapbooking with my childrens sports and school activities. I Always eye these at the stores but never have the extra money to purchase. And if I do I end up spending on my children instead of on for myself. So winning one would be an awesome gift for sure.

I am hoping to win the Cricut 2 because, during our recent move my Husband mixed up my heavy boxes (filled with a new Cricut, a new Gypsy, cartridges and nearly all of my 12×12 paper pads that I’ve purchased over the last 20 years) with the empty flattened boxes for recycling and threw away my entire craft room!!! Needless to say I haven’t spoke to him in about a week because not only did he get rid of these items that I was excited to use again; but even worse — he threw away all of my childrens’ pictures (nearly 15K); 16 years of one child and 14 years worth of my 2nd child’s — all irreplaceable because they were not taken during the digital age. So, family members are trying to find any pics that I sent them over the years.  My heart is broken – but I’m trying to start all over and would love a Cricut Expression 2 to start my new craft space.  Thanks!
