So I was making little treats for my daughter to take to the hospital with her, she volunteers in the NICU at the local woman’s hospital, and I thought how funit would be to make little boxes to wrap the treats in. Last time I did this I was pregnant and just put the treats in some store bought bags. They were cute but nearly as adorable and uplifting as I wanted them to be. But when my 19 months old started grabbing all my supplies off my desk and my 17 week old started crying to be fed… yeah so the thought was there and that is what matters right? I decided to start looking for a solution that would be just as cute and have that same heart warming sentiment. Wow first let me say some of the adorable handmade packaging techniques out there are truly awesome! But again, no time… so I ended up at efavormart.com… Yes they have a TON of packaging choices, but I want little boxes… umm so there are a TON of those too! OMG some of them are so cute that I had to order them as well for future projects, I mean there is no reason to not have a few on hand, right?
So I took these favor boxes, put my treats in them and with my Cricut, I used the New Additions Cartridge and created a cutout that we attached to the front of each box, on top of the ribbon we tied around them. Yeah I am not sure that I will ever make homemade little boxes again. These were SO inexpensive and perfect! For $0.25 a piece this is a no brainer for me… Yes you will be seeing a few tutorials involving creative gift packaging and these little boxes may be showing up in a few of our spring and summer craft kits.
