Lets Talk About Digital Scrapbooking

This is the first post in a series about the ins and out of digital scrapbooking.  Starting Tomorrow we are going to dive into software choices, designers of note, some basic how to’s, a few tutorials and more.  As someone who spends WAY too much time in Photoshop this topic is of personal interest to me.  I have never tried digital scrapbooking.  I own a ton of the design elements as I use them website design, blog theme design and other graphic work I do for clients.  I have been wanting to try my hand creating a digital scrapbook for my two littlest ones as their baby books, so this series gives me the excuse to get started on that.

In this series you will follow me as I learn the ins and outs of digital scrapbooking.  From choosing which software package to use, and finding the perfect digital design elements.  I will be making two baby books in this process, one for my 20 month old son and one for my 5 month old daughter.  My goal is to be able to have a finished online scrapbook for each of them as well as scrapbook pages that I can print off and bind together to give my mother-in-law as a Mother’s Day Gift.

Along the way I will be asking for your advice, opinions and recommendations.  PLEASE do not hesitate to offer anything that you feel will help me or those who are also wanting to learn the art of digital scrapbooking.

  1. This will be interesting. I have recently gotten My Memories Suite software, but only dabbled with it to complete a few scrapbook layouts so far. Any advice to be given will be well received!!!

    1. A little secret – – we will be DIVING into My Memories Suite Software BIG time… oh and there will be a few contests with a prize of the My Memories Suite Software….. Next posts launches tonight….. 🙂

  2. I have that one too. I’ll be interested in what you can show us.  I’ve dabbled but get frustrated easily with it, I think I’ll forever be a paper and glue gal.
