How to Make Cupcake Ornaments

I was a part of a Secret Santa Christmas exchange through a Facebook Group, and my secret Santa gift arrived this week.  When I opened the box, I was delighted to see two adorable Cupcake Christmas Ornaments from The Posh Shoppe on Etsy.  They are absolutely adorable!  So adorable in fact, that I immediately made a shopping list so I could make more for my Christmas tree!

As I was making them, I realized that many of you may also enjoy putting these simple to make Cupcake Christmas Ornaments together for your trees!  (If not then you can always go buy them from The Posh Shoppe too!)

What You Need – You can get all of it from the Dollar Store (or WalMart)

  1. Bright White Caulking
  2. Cupcake Liners
  3. Glitter Christmas Bulbs
  4. Beads or Glitter for Sprinkles
  5. Hot Glue Gun and Sticks (Or another form of adhesive)
  6. Optional Items:
    1. Beads for Cherries
    2. Accessories for Adding “candy”

Step One – Glue your bulb into your Cupcake Liner.  Let Dry – I can’t find my hot glue gun, so I used Elmers Glue and didn’t wait for it to dry and messed up my paper on the first one, this is why you must let it dry first.

How to Make Cupcake Christmas OrnamentsHow to Make Cupcake Christmas OrnamentsSte Two – Add caulking around the “hanger” of the Christmas Bulb.  Cut the tip of your caulking tube at a large slant and using the tip swirl it as you put it on.

Step Five – Hang on tree or give away and Enjoy!
