I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Skinnygirl. I received a product sample and a promotional item to facilitate my review.
It’s not secret that I am on a mission to lose all the weight from the last two babies, steroids and just getting old. Because of this hummus has become a staple in my home, so when the opportunity came up to review Skinny Girl’s new hummus, made with Greek yogurt, I was like HECK YEAH!
Not gonna lie, I am not a fan of Greek yogurt, so I was a little apprehensive at the first taste. I am not sure what I was expecting, but I was very surprised at the rich smooth texture the Skinny Girl Hummus had. Unlike traditional hummus, which can be a gritty smooth, this was just smooth. The flavor was great and I was excited to try it in a low carb meal.
So for lunch (on more days than I care to admit) I used the Skinny Girl Roasted Red Pepper Hummus on my turkey lettuce wraps. I loved the extra flavor it gave, and because of the extra protein, I felt like I was getting more out of my lunch then before.
I would like to point out all the little Roasted Red Pepper flakes in the hummus… I frequently purchase this flavor from another brand and I have NEVER seen any pieces of red pepper in it. Being able to see the peppers makes me feel like this hummus is made of real fresh produce.
To make my little wraps you need, Skinny Girl Hummus, Romaine Lettuce and Turkey.
Spread 1 to 2 Tablespoons of hummus across one Romaine lettuce leaf
Add Turkey and enjoy!
