I have loved the idea of the Disney pressed pennies, but could never figure out what to do with them after getting home.
Well the other day, I was looking at one and was like, Got IT! They would make cute necklace charms! So I grabbed my Modge Podge Dimensional, and covered the pressed side of the penny. After letting it sit for 3 hours, I was ASTONISHED at the level detail that the Modge Podge brought out!
So after I Modge Podged a few more, I decided to head out to Michaels to get some bails to attach them to. Well I couldn’t find them. I even tried Wal Mart and Target too. No one had the bails I was looking for (Glue On Bails). So I get a little bummed and think, well I am going to have to finish this project after I get some bails shipped to me. The next day, my daughter and I decided to skim WalMarts selection of bails again and made the choice to pick up a pinch bail and try it out.
I didn’t want to punch a hole into my pressed pennies, so I added more Modge Podge to the back and pinched the bail on. I waited the three hours before handling again to see how it turned out. And while it wasn’t exactly what I wanted, it did the trick and left me pleased with the results. I will post pictures of the next set with the glue on bails when they arrive.
