Hello everybody I got a little time to scrap today so I whipped up this little tag and mini composition book for my mom.

Hope it provides you with a little inspiration for all of you procrastinators out there (like me).

 It really didn’t take long at all to make so it’s not too late…..

It’s so easy to make your own wipes, and you can make them even simpler than I did. I used 2 pieces of fabric sewn together so they are a bit thicker and double sided. You can even just cut up pieces of fleece or flannel and use those, you only have to get as fancy as you’d like. As far as wipe solution goes, there are tons of various all-natural recipes out there on the web, or you can just use water. Imagine that? I plan to make up a small batch of solution and have it in a spray bottle on the change table so I can just spray the wipe before using. I will also have a spray bottle of just water as well for the same purpose. I made all my wipes 8 x 8″, this is a great size as the wipes fit into a standard wipes container when they are folded in half.

What you need:

- Fabric (I used a mixture of flannel and fleece)

- Sewing machine (only if you want to sew more than 1 piece together or add fancy stitching)

- Scissors

- Rotary cutter & mat

- Pins

1. Start by cutting your fabric into squares, I cut all mine into 8 x 8 squares.

2. If double siding the wipes, pin together 2 squares with the right sides facing out.

3. Sew along all the edges, leaving about 1/4 inch seam along the edge.

4. Using pinking shears (I used scallop edged shears), trim all the edges

And that’s it! Super easy and look how cute they are! I made about 40 of them so far and I still have lots of fabric left over. I’m thinking about making some larger ones for using in the kitchen as dish rags.

Carriers: sure, it’s easy to pop a baby into a stroller, right? But I love the idea of a carrier and being able to go for long walks without having the bulk of lugging the stroller around. Are you ready for a tutorial today?

I’m going to share with you a tutorial on how to make one of my all time favorite flowers.  I use this flower for all kinds of projects like scrapbooking, cardmaking, gift wrapping and even for some of my party decorations too.  Below I’ll share a  ”step by step” tutorial along with some  examples on how to make this fun 3-dimensional flower.  It’ll sure to make your crafting projects look “Scrap”tastic!

A fun corsette I created and used my

simple scrunch flower as the corsage for the dress.

Supplies you’ll need.

• 6 punched circles (1 1/2″ in size and it looks better if the paper double sided)
• 1 pencil
• glue dots
• your favorite distressing ink

Step 1:  scrunch 5 of the 6 circles so they become

more pliable and aged looking. (the sixth circle

will serve as your base.)  Then grab

your distressing ink and ink the edges.

Step 2:  Using your pencil (eraser end), grab one

of your scrunched circles and place the pencil

in the center of the circle and wrap the circle around

it.

Step 3:  Place a glue dot at the bottom of the circle

as it’s still wrapped around the pencil.

Step 4:  Then begin placing each circle on the your

sixth circle which is your base, glue dot side down

so it adheres onto the base.  I usually begin in the

center of the circle and then begin filling in the circle

so it’s even and starts to form the petals for my flower.

Here’s what it should look like once you’ve filled

it in with all your distressed circles.

Step 6:  I take sometime to fluff and work the circles

so it makes the flower fuller.

And Voila, here’s your finished product.

Step 7: You want to take it a step further?

Push down your circles to flatten them from the

center.

Step 8: Then cutting another smaller circle, use that as

the middle base and adhere on top of the flattened

circles.

Step 9: Top it off with a fun brad or button.

And there you go, a fun 3 dimensional flower sure to

add some scrap flare to your paper crafting projects.

I unscrewed the white face plate from the guitar and then traced it onto thin chipboard.  I then used patterned paper,  card stock,  ribbon, and rub-on’s trimmed to fit and covered in modge podge.  I let it dry then screwed it in place, I kept the original face plate so I could re-attach at any time or use it again to use as a template.

The past few days it’s been rainy here in SoCal.  Which has given me sometime to get a little creative.  With it being National card and writing month, I was motivated to send some cards to family.

The nursery is only part of getting ready for the baby. There are so many little things we are told we “need” but how much of that do we really need? I don’t want to go overboard and be stuck with a lot of stuff we never use, but I want to make sure we have what we need so we don’t have to make any last minute runs to the store the first week we have her home with us.

Obviously the basics: carseat, crib or bassinet (we’ll be using the Fisher Price Rock n’Play), onesies, diapers, receiving blankets, etc.

If you’re planning to breastfeed, then there are going to be several must have items as well: a nursing cover, possibly a good pump, a  pillow like a boppy, and some nursing pads. Another must have for sure! Look at this awesome baby bath towel snuggler from Chattamamacrafts. I just love the concept of this towel – you wear it around your neck to keep you dry while you bath baby, then you scoop baby up and pull them to you to snuggle them into the towel.

Every baby needs a sweet hand crocheted baby blanket. I love this one from meshell609. This blanket also comes in pink or blue, and she has an assortment of other hand crocheted baby items for sale as well.
