Dr. Seuss Birthday Party

Who doesn’t love Dr. Seuss? Make your child’s birthday a memorable one when you add some Seuss sparkle to it. You don’t have to be super crafty or spend a lot of dough, you just need to focus on some fun details and presto! Take a look at how we created a Dr. Seuss birthday party by tying in the fun and magic of Seuss into desserts, décor, and more.

1. Dr. Seuss Desserts
Give your guests some sweet Seuss treats when you frost star shaped cookies red and blue. Mimicking the colors of The Cat in the Hat, these cookies really tie in the fun theme. You can use a roll and cut premade dough and color your own frosting for easy peasy decorating.Dr. Seuss Birthday Party

Treat your guests to cupcakes full of Seuss fun. Use red cupcake cups, and you can make store bought cupcakes and top them with white frosting tinted blue with food coloring. This will give them a Thing 1 and Thing 2 look. Print out Thing 1 and Thing 2 circles to glue to the front of your cupcake cups. Or grab some our FREE Dr Seuss Party Printables Birthday Party Kit which included cupcake wrappers and toppers!

Finish off the look by carrying the colors over into your cake. Store bought roll and cut fondant is an easy way to add color and shapes to your cake as we did.Dr. Seuss Birthday Party

2. Seuss-errific Silverware
Roll silverware in blue and red napkins, and tie them closed with polka dot ribbon in the opposite color. You can find rolls of ribbon for as little as $1 at your local craft store.Dr. Seuss Birthday Party

3. Fun Flowers
Place flowers in clear glass vases (your local thrift store will have tons of these) and decorate them with Seuss themed ribbon. Tie the ribbon around the vase and secure with glue for a simple yet fun look.Dr. Seuss Birthday Party

4. Happy Birthday Book
Snag this special edition Happy Birthday Book that features your Seuss favorites and gives guests a place to sign their birthday wishes. It makes a wonderful post party memento. Find your copy on Amazon.Dr. Seuss Birthday Party

5. Gorgeous Globes
Hang these gorgeous globes from Oriental Trading Company to make even the ceiling pop. Find globes in red and blue to continue the color palette. You can even mix in patterned pieces.

Dr. Seuss Birthday PartyTry these simple Seuss tricks and create party your child and guests won’t soon forget! By tying in these details, you will see the whole theme come together and unfold before your eyes.
