My children have always loved to bake with me. As two of them are teens and one a tween, they are now capable of baking by themselves and they LOVE to do so. I try to keep the ingredients for cookies on hand so they can whip up a batch easily and without too much mess in my kitchen. This Cake Mix Cookie recipe is our go to recipe. You can doctor it up with different add ins to create different flavors or even use a different cake mix flavor to really make creative flavors! Gather up your ingredients…yep, that’s all you need!
Ingredients:
1 (18.25 oz.) box cake mix (I used yellow cake mix for these cookies but you can use any flavor you like!)
1 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips (or other add ins)
Directions:
1- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2-In a medium bowl, stir together the cake mix and baking powder. Add eggs and oil, then mix until well blended. This takes a little bit of elbow grease..here’s how it should look when it’s all mixed up…before add ins.
3-Stir in chocolate chips, or your choice of additions. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto cookie sheets.
4- Bake for 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
