Christmas Aprons – Sister-in-law – – Mother-in-law – – Me (holding my 16 m/o at the time & 9 weeks after Courtney)

I have always loved aprons, and thanks to my mother-in-law, I have a renewed obsession with them.  You see for Christmas she got my sister-in-law and I matching personalized aprons.  What was cute, my father-in-law secretly went behind her back and got her a matching too!

Well this one little apron got my wheels a turning and thinking about how I don’t wear or own any aprons anymore.  It isn’t like I stopped baking or cooking, so why did I all of a sudden quit wearing aprons?  Especially since Carson’s hands are always sticky, I mean really I should wear an apron all day every day.  But I digress, I am now obessed with aprons, pretty ones, funny ones, fancy ones.  These are not hard items to sew, the general patterns are very similiar, it really is all about the fabric and accessories you add to them.  I have found some really awesome handmade aprons and kitchen apron tutorials and patterns in my quest for rebuilding my apron stock.  I know this gallery is going to be HUGE, as I can’t decide on which ones I like best.  So Enjoy – links to tutorials and patterns are below the gallery.
